Miami, June 13, 2023-The Eighth Edition of Premios HEAT turns on its lights to continue celebrating and recognizing Latin music and its representatives worldwide. This anticipated music party begins today with the announcement of the nominations, where the talent that will have the chance to win on the paradisiacal beaches of the Dominican Republic on June 8 was revealed.
The big nomination night took place at Jet-Set Club, a cultural legacy for Dominicans, based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where the presenter and actress Caroline Aquino and the Venezuelan comedian and influencer Marko started the event that had as its special guests major figures in entertainment, such as the Puerto Rican Jorge Pabón ‘El Molusco,’ the Ecuadorian presenter Michela Pimbu, and from Colombia, the producer and presenter DimeloKing, who in addition to reviewing the nominees in each group, commented on the movement and the new voices that are being heard in Latin America.
Continuing with the philosophy of recognizing and uplifting figures within the music scene, Los Premios HEATfor its Eighth Edition announce three new categories: “DJ of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” and “Best Content, Music Platform,” groups that join the well-known 17 categories, whose winners will be selected through popular vote via the streaming platform (App and web), LosHeat.Tv.
For the second consecutive year, HEAT Latin Music Awards 8th Edition will give the award “LosHeat.Tv Trending Artist” for the talent with the most engagement on the Premios HEAT platform.
In this edition, the Colombians Karol G and Feid lead the nominations with 6 each, followed by Bad Bunnywith five; global stars Romeo Santos, El Alfa, Christian Nodal and Bizarrap with four; Maluma, Manuel Turizo, and Chris Lebron with 3 respectively; Arcangel, Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Alejandro Fernandez, Danny Ocean, Grupo Firme, Justin Quiles, Piso 21, Quevedo, Kany García, Lasso, Sebastian Yatra and Rosalía with two categories.
Voting for the annual presentation of the only awards show that has the beach and the Caribbean sea as its stage and greatest spectator is already open. Starting today, votes may be cast every 24 hours through the free LosHeat.Tv App in order to choose the artists that will take home the next HEAT balloons on June 2 in the Dominican Republic.
